Captain Cherish Isaacs began her career with the Brookville Police Department on November 1, 2004 as a part-time officer and was promoted to full-time in March of 2005. Captain Isaacs has worked road patrol, has served as a Field Training Officer and Officer In Charge (OIC).
Captain Isaacs was promoted to the position of Captain on July 10, 2014.
Captain Isaacs is a graduate of Trotwood-Madison High School and has obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice at Sinclair Community College, Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership at Urbana University and is currently working on her Master of Public Administration at Wright State University. Captain Isaacs has attended several supervision and leadership training courses through the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy and is currently attending the Ohio Public Safety Leadership Academy sponsored by the Ohio State University - John Glenn School of Public Affairs.
Chief Douglas Jerome began his career with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in 1990 as a corrections officer assigned to the Jail Division. While serving as a corrections officer, he was a field training officer (FTO) and received the department highest award; The Exceptional Service Award with Valor (1992).
Chief Jerome was sworn in as an auxiliary police officer with the City of Brookville in 1993, promoted to part time in 1994, and full time in 1995. While assigned to the road patrol division; Chief Jerome served as a field training officer, accident investigator, evidence technician, bike patrol officer, school resource officer, firearms instructor, police instructor, community policing and crime prevention officer. He has also volunteered services to numerous civic and religious organizations, local service clubs,and several statewide educational initiatives; namely the Ohio Center for Law Related Education.
In 2003, Chief Jerome was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, serving as the Operations Sergeant. While serving in this role, he continued to oversee many of the programs to which he created or served in as a patrol officer.
In May 2012, Chief Jerome was promoted to the rank of Chief of Police.
Chief Jerome is a graduate of Northmont High School, Class of 1989. He then attended Sinclair Community College, earned an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at Ashworth College as well as a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master of Public Administration at Columbia Southern University.
Major Tom Simon
Major Tom Simon joined the Brookville Police Department on May 04, 2004 as a part time police officer. He was promoted to full time on December 23, 2004. During his career, Major Simon worked as a road patrol officer, Field Training Officer (FTO), defensive tactics instructor, and detective.
Major Simon was promoted to the rank of Captain on September 20, 2012. As a Captain, he was in charge of the Operations Division; consisting of our road patrol, investigations and internal investigations. He currently remains the investigations supervisor. He was promoted to the rank of Major on July 10, 2014.
Major Simon is a native of Montgomery County and graduated from Brookville High School and attended Sinclair Community College. He completed his Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice at Ashworth College. In 2013, Major Simon attended the Inaugural Class of the Ohio Public Safety Leadership Academy sponsored by the Ohio State University - John Glenn School of Public Affairs.
