Policing is one of America's most noble professions.  The actions of any police officer, in an instant, can impact an individual for life, and even a community for generations.  Given this realization, every police officer must be centered on what is important.

Service, justice, fundamental fairness - these are the foundational  principles in which every police action must be grounded.  The nobility of policing demands the noblest of character.

City of Brookville Police Department

The City of Brookville Police Department is a full service police department which has 11 full time officers, 7 part time officers and one administrative assistant.  In 2012 we created our new motto of "Excellence in Service."  We feel that community service is paramount and we strive to serve as role models in our daily performance.  We continue to have a strong relationship with the Brookville Local Schools and enjoy working with the youth of our community.  We hope that by building solid and long lasting relationships with all members of our community will pay dividends in making them lifelong residents of Brookville.

The police department believes in community oriented policing and offers numerous community programs and services which include: Neighborhood Watch Programs, Vacation House Checks, Female Self-Defense Classes, Bike Patrol Programs, Ohio Prescription Drug Drop Program (located in our police lobby), Crime Prevention Programs, Pre-School Trike-A-Thon and many other school related educational programs.

The police department also has a full time detective, a part time crime prevention officer and a Chaplain.  We plan on conducting the department's first Citizens Police Academy in late 2014.  We contract dispatch services with the City of Englewood Dispatch Center and firearms training services with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Training Center.  Our police department core values include: Excellence, Professionalism, Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Service and Leadership.
